How does Coil work?
1. An extremely fine 18K gold strand is spiral wound around a gold inner core.
2. The gold is shaped by the hands of artisans—either twisted (Marrakech) or pressed (Masai).
3. In some designs, diamonds are carefully selected and added for an enhanced effect.
4. After the jewelry is heat-set, the design is finished and ready to be worn.
The Legacy
Marco discovered the coil craftsmanship technique when he was still apprenticing his father. "Inspiration struck" when he noticed an imperfect thread of gold about to be discarded.
