On January 12th Marco Bicego hosted a cocktail party toasting the brand’s new flagship boutique on Via della Spiga in Milan.
“Italian excellence is one of the most important and distinctive traits of my brand; I couldn't help but want to have a presence in the most important and representative marketplace in the Italian capital of fashion,” said Bicego.
Artisanal Italian design is in the brand’s DNA - the inspiration and creation of all Marco Bicego jewelry stems from Bicego’s Venetian origins and old world Italian craftsmanship. Today, the Marco Bicego brand blends old world tradition and contemporary designs through the use of hand-engraved 18kt yellow gold crafted by artisans using the time-honored Bulino technique that leaves hundreds of imperfect engravings on Bicego’s iconic imperfectly-shaped silhouettes.
In addition to the age old Italian craftsmanship that is employed throughout the brand’s pieces, Bicego draws inspiration for many of his collections from Italian cities – including Murano, the glass making village in the Venetian Lagoon and Positano, the historical fishing village on the Amalfi Coast.
Pieces from both of these Italian-inspired collections are featured amongst other iconic offerings from the brand, including Africa, Cairo, Jaipur, Siviglia, as well as select pieces from Marco Bicego’s Pezzi Unici collection which boasts stunning one-of-a-kind gemstones.
The Marco Bicego boutique is located at Via della Spiga, 5 in Milan.
